Thalassemia and Haemophilia centre

IRCS, West Godavari DistrictBranch has started construction of a Transfusion Centre for thalassemia and haemophilia patients with a proposed bed strength of 25. This Centre will have its own treatment and diagnostic facility.

During 2016-17, 60 Thalassemia, 9 Sickle Cell Anemia and 5 Cancer patients were supported with free blood transfusions every month. In addition, 9 patients with Haemophilia were given factor replacement.
