CORNEA COLLECTION CENTRE

i. West Godavari District
       A Cornea Collection Centre run by IRCS has started functioning in January, 2017, in collaboration with L.V. Prasad Eye Institute. So far 80 cornea have been collected and handed over to L.V.Prasad Eye Institute.

ii. Srikakulam
       The IRCS KalyanMagatapalli Eye Donation Centre, Srikakulam, was started during 2008. Through this Eye Donation Centre so far 692 cornea have been collected and handed over to M/s.Mohsin Eye Bank, Visakhapatnam. During the year, 64 cornea were collected from 32 eye donors.

iii. Kurnool
       During the year, Sri Ake Ravi Krishna, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Kurnool District has motivated 1.52 lakh eye donors, and the pledge forms are handed over to IRCS, Kurnool District Branch.
